Over the 40 years(later this year it will be 41 years) that we have been owned by goldens, we have developed a philosophy of breeding that is ours alone but most likely shared by other breeders world wide. In each and every breeding that we plan, we are striving to reach the standard of the ideal Golden Retriever.
We feel that there are certain traits that are innate to any style of Golden Retriever and that they must always be present in our breeding.
We believe that a Golden Retriever should be a beautiful dog, with a lustrous coat and good pigment. It should be bred from healthy lines keeping in mind the Golden Retriever Standard as developed by the Canadian Kennel Club and various Breed Clubs.
Temperament is one of the most wonderful things about a Golden Retriever. The Golden should be a retriever, picking up birds etc, on command, with a gentle mouth. It should be a loyal and fun companion with a gentle temperament yet a willingness to please. There should be absolutely no sign of aggression as these dogs were developed to work with gentlemen hunters and with other dogs. The Golden should be at one with a family, capable of being a multi-faceted service dog, a hunter, a companion, and still being able to compete at its own level in many fields of competition. We should never lose track of the fact that it is primarily a hunting dog with a good temperament.
Soundness, longevity, and good health are also primary features in our breeding philosophy. We consider the whole dog when breeding. Our preference is toward the English style of dog but we enjoy a good specimen of any style. We try to reach the ideal standard of a Golden in each and every litter that we breed.
A Breeder is not only a producer of dogs. They should always quest for all the knowledge possible about their breed and know important recent developments of the good and the bad in their breed. You can never learn too much about a breed that you love.
We also believe that we are responsible for each and every one of our dogs. We did plan to bring each one of our puppies into this world and it is important that we are ready to accept our part in what happens to our dogs. We also know that not only do we play a big part in presenting you with a healthy, happy dog, but that you, as the owner, are responsible for the physical and mental development of that dog. There are many things that we ask our potential puppy buyer to adhere to in order to have a wonderful and healthy canine companion.
As in life, there are no guarantees but we do offer a Warranty for our dogs IN WRITING. We also welcome our dogs back to our life, if the need arises, and will do all that we can to find the dog another loving home.

As you can see, Goldens overseas come in all colours and look different from the majority of dogs that are bred in the USA
