This is about 3 km. from the outskirts of Ottawa but actually about 25 minutes from Hunt Club & Bank St. in Ottawa straight down Bank St.
From Morrisburg it is about 20 minutes up CR 31
We are east of Kemptville taking CR 43 E and then north at Winchester on CR 31 - approximately 15minutes.
We are about 20 minutes from Finch along CR 43 W and then north on CR 31

Description
The main building contains runs that are 6 feet by 3 feet, 4 feet and 5 feet. The 4 foot runs are quite capable of holding comfortably two large dogs - e.g. 2 labradors, poodles, golden retrievers, dalmations, etc. We usually reserve the 5 foot runs for giant breeds or 3 dogs that can be put together compatibly.
Attached to each run is a 14 foot outdoor run that is totally covered so snow and rain do not bother the dog. Each dog(s) has(have) their own outside run to go in and out and the dogs like to play with each other even though they are not together. They can all see each other and we like that. We do have 4 privacy runs for those dogs that are better to be kenneled where other dogs cannot be seen.
The kennel floor is coated with a special paint that is designed specifically for kennels. It is easy to keep clean and we insist on a very clean kennel. You will also find that the kennel is not damp and musty as we vacuum up any water that is used to disinfect and clean the runs inside. There is good air circulation in the outside runs and they generally dry very quickly.
When your dog stays here, you are welcome, in fact it is better for your dog, to bring its own food. We do have a kennel food if you do not wish to do that. You must remember however, that changing a dog's diet, can upset their tummies and cause diarrhea.
If your dog has any kind of medical problem while it is here, we will have an emergency contact on file as well as the name and telephone number of your Veterinarian and try to take your dog to its own Vet. If there is an emergency and we cannot take your dog to its own Vet because we cannot reach them, we will take your dog to our Veterinarian that we use for our dogs. This is why we ask for both contacts when you leave the dog.
You may bring toys, etc, blankets and so on if you wish. We cannot guarantee that they will come back in the same shape that they were in when they came so it is best to not bring something really expensive. We try to have everything washed and cleaned when the dog goes home. Unfortunately your dog does not always behave in the kennel like he does at home.
Both of us have an excellent knowledge of dogs so that there is not much that happens here as far as health goes as our staff and ourselves react quickly if a dog seems off colour. I like to treat our boarders the same as I would want my dogs treated if they were to be kenneled. We are not fancy, but the place is secure, the dogs are well treated and loved and, above all the kennel is immaculate. We do play music for the dogs but we do not have Television for them.
The dogs are taken for twice daily walks after they eat. We do feed twice a day. They can go poo etc. on their walks as a lot of dogs are not comfortable going in a run. This also gives the dog and us a one on one situation so they they trust us and are happy with the attention.
Our hours for pick up and drop off are from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily. There are no exceptions to this except for regular customers who suddenly have an emergency. We hope you understand that we like to relax for a bit too.
